A summary of the day - today was a mixed bag.
I cycled into the office - it’s a hilly cycle for only 15 minutes, but today in Tokyo it’s around 30C and extremely humid, so I was quite wiped by the time I arrived at work.
===Positives===
The morning went well. I felt mostly fine.
I had a nap in the office 12:15-13:05 after a short walk in the sun to pick up some water. I really didn’t think I could actually nap at work but somehow I managed to doze off in the dark private room we have for employees to rest.
===Negatives===
After my nap I immediately regretted it - I felt dozy and had a weird foggy head for the following couple of hours. I just didn’t feel like myself.
However, thankfully by mid afternoon I was back on track, and feeling great.
I blame the cleanse for my general slight weakness and lacking in energy at times - or rather my inability to properly regulate my energy levels with the lemonade - but! the jet lag I’m experiencing is definitely a major factor today in my doziness and wobbliness at times.
At 7pm this evening, directly after a full day at work, I hosted a team-building dinner and drinks event for my colleagues at a nearby restaurant.
I tried initially to be discrete (ha!) but immediately people were asking “why wasn’t I drinking” etc (since everyone else was drinking beer).
Since there was no way around it, I came clean to a few inquisitive colleagues about the cleanse I’m attempting. A few folks put me under some initial pressure to drink or eat with them, but most were supportive.
Another good day on the cleanse complete, but this one was not without it’s challenges.
