There Is more to luxury design than you are told. In my professional opinion, one if the biggest mistakes I still see being made over and over even in multimillion dollar custom homes, is the stairs are pushing the limit in the height of their risers. The tread is the flat part you step on, the riser is the vertical piece that connect the treads to each other. The stairs shown here only have a 6” tall riser. Very easy to go up and down, if you ever walk on one like this, you will never forget it. While it does take up more space to make the run of a stair longer to accommodate the shorter rise, I think it is work every penny if it.
