Hey guys. How's it going? This is one that I've tasted but didn't get the chance to post because I had to leave for a business trip to Paris. Catching up now 🙂 This is the Glenlivet The Master Distillers Reserve, a mouthful, I know 😄 I found this at very good price for 1 liter (can't remember what I paid for it though 🤔). . The expression is aged in previously used American oak barrels, from which it borrows rich berries and American oak, which gives it depth. Last but not least, sherry barrels enrich the aromatic palette. This maturation in three types of barrels outlines a harmonious individuality to the expression. The single malt bears the signature of the talented Alan Winchester, the third Master Distiller of the Glenlivet distillery since its inception in 1817. . Here is my review: . Nose: Rich notes of juicy pears, well baked, enveloped in soft white chocolate notes. . Palate: Elegant fruit flavors, especially pears, complemented with notes of spices and hazelnuts. . Finish: Long, with marzipan and hazelnut accents. . Color: Bright gold. . It's a good scotch, not overly complex but quite pleasent 🙂. What do you guys think about this one? 🥃. .
