MC and Malleus' children growing up and finding out the truth of how Malleus and MC came to be. I don't think Malleus would be the type to hide his true colours, so i think his children do have some curiosity surrounding their father and they assume he's just some morally gray man that borders evil (?? hwo tf do u say it).
note: im theorising ONLY if the children dont turn out as fucked up as their father LMAO. but that actually reminds me of my last ask, how would MC react if one of the children started displaying behaviour similar to Malleus LOL. Its already bad enough that they look like him.
Maybe if the children, while they're still young, ask how their parents met, they may be brushed off and/or told that they're not old enough (MC would say this more methinks)
Once they get older though... BIG YIKES if MC decides to tell them the whole truth.

when i was writing the epilouge, i had in mind purely mc's suffering. i think the WORST thing that could ever happen to her would be for her children to become more and more like their father... and...

i honestly think at that point mc would be completely broken inside. like... an amount of suffering that no human should possibly habe to endure, and probably isnt PHYSICALLY capable of handling 😅😅😅
i can actially imagine these children, as they grow up, starting to IDOLISE the way their parents "fell in love", and maybe even want it for themselves. like... imagine telling your kids about all the horrible things their father did to you, and all of a sudden they want to go out and find a human of their own...? 😅
i purely operate on torturing mc to the fullest... this family is very nuanced and tragic and fucked up all in one and the most horrible thing that could ever happen is carrying on the cycle of abuse/repeating history... which is exactly what i imagine to happen! ☺☺
mc's illusion of her children shattering... would probably make her shatter. she'd probably be terrified of her own children, too, just as shes terrified of her husband
the thing about malleus is that hes really blunt and just... NOT ashamed whatsoever. he will watch you dead in your face and tell you the cruelest, most apathetic thing ever,,, and i can imagine his children sharing the same quality. they may not even care for their mother's suffering, all they care about is that she's here and she's their mother and their mother only
