Absolutely!
Getting taken out during the first trial was part of her grand plan. They would all see her “execution” and believe that she died trying to kill the mastermind. What a joke!
No. She didn’t have any faith in humanity, not after the Tragedy and the broadcast of the Hope’s Peak Academy killing game. Seeing Ultimates become their own problem by turning on their friends strengthened her resolve.
So, she orchestrated everything from far behind the scenes. They carried on her false wish naively. Not one of them thought that it could be her; it didn’t even cross Kokichi’s mind.
Her big reveal was oh-so-despairful. She actually made Tsumugi pass out from shock, and she knew Shuichi was close to it. If she wasn’t so busy with the trial, she would’ve been laughing her head off at them.
Watching them fall into despair was going to be so worth it when she was done with them! They didn’t know the half of what the Ultimate Pianist could do.

I’ll be drawing all the V3 characters as the mastermind. To avoid spoilers, I’ll even redesign the actual mastermind of V3. Those of you who played V3 should catch the references I make in the mastermind quotes.
