So, the "hope's peak academy is fictional" thing is not relevant in this au
Angie was raised not on an island, but in The Towa City. During The Tragedy she was just a small, brainwashed child
She would serve The Warriors of Hope themeselves
Hearing them and Nagito talking so highly about Junko would eventually affect Angie's already vunerable brain, making her potray The Ultimate Despair as a godess
Some Monokuma kids probably got a therapy, but Angie didn't have this luck. Though she managed to acustom to her "normal" life and hide her despairful side
As she grew older, the world became so peacefull that it started once again crawing for despair. Thus, the killing game entertaiment blossomed.
She joined team Danganronoa because she believed there is no better way of celebrating her godess than recreating her despairfull Kiling Games
Basically the same, expect there is "her godess" instead of Atua, and new clothes probably, as she was raised in japan.
She also is far less positive (still friendly though) and gets creepy more often
