McDonald’s is doing one of their Pokemon Happy Meal promotions currently and I would argue it’s one of the best yet.
Included with the cards is a spinner and a cardboard coin so you can play their TCG spin-off, Match Battle! It’s nowhere near as complex as the actual Pokemon Trading Card Game, but it’s simplicity allows players of all age to utilize the cards beyond just having them. It’s a great idea and a great introduction into the card game.
The McDonald’s website has a nice, short instructional video on how to play as well. Since they’ll probably delete it once the promotion finishes, I uploaded it to Nintendroid’s official Internet Archive page.
Stuff like this is why I’m glad I have a kid. I can buy Happy Meals and not get judged for it.
