I… thought about this a lot yesterday bc I couldn’t remember when exactly I started shipping sebagni in earnest…. like sebard I know, but sebagni I genuinely can’t remember.

I know I had always planned to have a sebagni part of wdh, but that was before I really started shipping them…

I think it first started, as in my first sebagni au— with my mute sebastian story that never got off the ground. In it, I was going to have Sebastian be mute due to a throat/nerve injury he got from an abusive ex, so he uses ASL (sign language) as one of his main forms of communication. I knew I wanted the love interest to be a CODA (child of Deaf adult) and be an interpreter, and I realized Agni would fit the part perfectly.

But then I sorta put sebagni down for the most part and focused on sebard largely, and didn’t look at the ship as much until I got sicker. Agni is such a caring character— like you said, he’s the one who teaches Seb how to care for Ciel (properly, when he’s sick), and what he says really makes an impact. Seb treats Ciel very differently in GWA, for example, than he does in the circus arc, and I think it’s bc he’s taken what Agni and Tanaka have said to heart— bc he wants to be a good butler etc etc but I digress…

So yeah, I always loved the idea of Agni taking care of Sebastian, and then when I got even sicker the last couple years and Synch began to form, I became even more attached.

And now my fave kuro ship is definitely sebardagni. A shame I am literally the only one who likes it, lol.
