Zero Degrees - Matchata

(Location: Westminster, CA)

The flagship Zero Degrees’ matchata is the best rendition of the matcha + (insert other flavor here) combo that’s popping up in a lot of other places. The horchata’s spices and the matcha’s bitterness actually work really well together for a dynamic flavor profile. I didn’t mix it particularly well, so it was interesting to have matcha-flavored horchata for the first half of the drink, and horchata-flavored matcha towards the end. Overall, it’s a dynamic tug of war between two flavors that ironically blend really well, and I enjoyed it.
