Tattoo #14
Tattoo: Koi fish
Placement: back of my left calf
Story behind my tattoo:
This is my most recent and most favourite tatt, this tatt was the first where i actually let go of absolute control and reason and just played this one by ear. As my boyfriend and I cant get married at the moment, or engaged we decided to show our love in a non-traditional way and in a way that speaks more to us- so we spoke to our tattooist, who is a good friend of ours and asked her to design us something that could be intertwined- that match but are seperate tatts. we settled on the idea of the koi as we've both wanted koi tatts anways and they are symbolic to us- so long story short rocking up on the day not really sure what to expect, this design was drawn on and it has come out amazing!!! why the koi? Ive always loved the old story of the koi going against the grain and decided to go up the waterfall which was unheard of- doing so tho he turned into a dragon. its so symbolic of the strength that we all have that we dont know is within us, the beauty of the koi fish itself and the feminity vs masculinity of the designs.
Give me some couple matching tattoo ideas..
I have some of my own, but I wanna know yours. Thanks .
