3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?
I did face first. This is the oldest pic of Ibarra. I tend to make a face first and figure out the rest as I go, on account of being a bit of a visual thinker.
5. How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?
I was considering the name "Temi" but I didn't think that sounded tough, so I went looking for names with the same starting letters lol
Temir (and variants of it Timur, Demir, etc) means iron. And I think that fits for a guy who is very hardened. But you also need to take care of iron or it's gonna rust.
Not much in-universe justification. He has an ancestor from the Middle East/Western Asia.
His first name Tomorrow came a lot later. I just wanted something slightly odd and embarrassing.
One of my teachers in high school said he used to know someone named Thursday because her mom procrastinated naming her as a baby and you can't leave the hospital with a nameless baby, and didn't think anything else up by the time Thursday rolled around.
Tomorrow was named for similar reasons. His mom was stressed out and blanked out on the names she did plan and asked the Nurse Bot if she could name him tomorrow and the Nurse Bot took it literally and with a baby named, promptly booted Temir and his mom out of the hospital for having insufficient health insurance to pay for more days.
But it's a sort of fitting name for Temir's mom's attitude towards life, constantly trying to keep Temir's spirits up and insisting tomorrow is gonna be better.
10. What is their main character arc in the story? Where do they start and how do they develop? Do they get a happy ending or is their story a tragic one?
lol yeah that's too many spoilers to answer thoroughly. Growing a backbone will be attempted at some point.
19 What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?
I feel like her giant puppy eyes get kind of out of hand when I draw her. Her eye size in page 1 vs the recent pages is very stark. lol

I have no idea where to cram in Temir actually wearing the non-uniform fits I like to draw.
