As a bio NatSci how should I decide whther to take math bio or math a in the first year? I didn't do further maths a level does that discount me from Math A?
Further Maths only comes into question for Math B really, so that wouldn’t be a problem. I think it depends on how much you like math - Math A is pure math, while Math Bio is totally focused on biology, so you can enjoy it a bit even if you don’t like math - you can see the practical use of it in bio. BUT it also depends on what kind of biology you want to do - if you plan to do something chemistry-related (biochem, pharmacology), Math A can be valuable there more than Math Bio. In the end, I would mostly consider which one you will enjoy more - neither are pre-requisites for anything in the bio realm.

WHO KNOWS WHAT DISCRETE DATA IS MESSAGE ME I STILL CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE I'M GOING TO FAIL MATH YOU GUYS.
Gonna kick the ass out of my Math A exam. BRING IT.
So, my mom said that if I get in the top ten in my grade for Math A, she'll reconsider moving at the end of this year till after I graduate. Incentive to do well? I think so.
Except there are like, one hundred and fifty kids doing Math A, and I failed Math B which is why I'm in Math A, but it's easy stuff, BUT IT'S EASY so at least half of the kids should get at least a B+ oh shit.
