Math Attack (open)
Math. Ugh. Why did Aoi even need math anyway? She was going to be a swimmer, not some mathematician! There was no way she was ever going to need to know the slope of something in her career, right? That was why Aoi was slouching in her 2nd period math class. It’s too early for this! She thought, tapping her pencil against her desk and leaning her head on her free hand. Boring, boring, boring.
Aoi put down her pencil to bring her hand her mouth, yawning as quietly as she could. She could hear the droning voice of her math teacher, yet she knew that she couldn’t pay attention even if she tried. He was just too boring! Everything was just too boring! Why couldn’t they have a swim class? She would get full marks in that for sure.
Maybe I’ll work on my homework while I wait for the class to end. She glanced down at the paper, as if magically she’d know how to do it without paying attention. She picked up her pencil once more, and concentrated on the first problem. What the heck?! How did they expect her to know this? Maybe she could ask someone. Now, who looks smart? Her eyes locked on the person who sat in front of her. Perfect! They were always raising their hand and answering questions, they must be smart! “Psst!” She tapped on their shoulder. “Psssssst!”

Her eyes locked on the boy who sat in front of her. Perfect! He was always raising his hand and answering questions, he must be smart! "Psst!" She tapped on his shoulder. "Psssssst!"
