Unwanted Encounter [Open RP]
Aya literally snarled at the girl beneath her. Her lips curled back like some sort of threatened wild animal, and for a moment she almost looked inhuman. However, she could not keep up her intimidating expression for long, and her mean look fell.
Her bottom lip quivered slightly and she looked away from the other student in an attempt to hide her quickly reddening face. She was pissed, sure, but she was much more flustered than anything. It wasn’t like her to be this clumsy, no matter how much of a rush she was in. She’d rather be skewered by a thousand spears then be in this situation right now.
'So much for avoiding social interaction.' She thought bitterly to herself.
Aya only grunted at the girl when she asked her to get off. Begrudgingly, the blonde rose to her feet (definitely not because she was told to, of course). Aya offered no assistance to the other girl, instead crossing her arms and glaring down at her with a mix of a pout and a scowl on her face. She got a chance to look the girl over, and her frown deepened slightly. She looked ditsy, to say the least, but she was probably a nice girl. Besides, she had apologized even though Aya was the one totally at fault for the whole accident, so Aya relied on her quick assessment of the girl and decided to do the unthinkable.
She held out a helping hand the the brunette.
Aya couldn’t even bring herself to look at the girl when she did so, and she felt her cheeks heat up again. Whatever, this would be her one good deed of the week (more like month) and after she helped up the girl she’d be on her merry way and hopefully never see her again. That was the plan at least.
Upon the snarling, Aoi moved her head as far away from the girl as possible, a mixture of confusion and terror on her face. She went from human to animal in two seconds, the swimmer thought, That's pretty scary. But cool nonetheless. She waited for her next move, and was relieved when the girl dropped her gaze.
Aoi watched the girl's internal struggle with a frown. She could tell that she really wanted to beat her up, but Aoi hoped that no fight would break out. All she had wanted to do was go back to her dorm in peace, no trouble. This was almost as bad as the time she had dropped all her donuts on the cafeteria floor!
A relieved smile broke out across Aoi's face when she felt the weight lifted from her stomach. She was both surprised and happy that she had just gotten up, no brawl. The swimmer wasn't in the mood to fight, anyway.
Aoi was even more surprised when the girl who previously snarled actually held her hand for her to take. The relieved smile turned to a friendly one as she grabbed the other's hand. When she was on her feet, Aoi beamed at her. "Thanks!" She exclaimed, "Sorry about that."
Rocking on her heels, Aoi thought for a moment. Should she just be on her way? Of course not! She argued in her head. That girl looked like she needed a friend. Well, She thought, gazing at her, I can be that friend.
"So," She started, "Where were you heading?"
