It’s amazing how this guy found the same truths in scripture that Ashley and I had to discover in our journey together. It took some wrestling with modern translations, tradition-based misconceptions, and our own morals built on the understandings we’ve adopted along the way. But we ultimately came to these same conclusions. We can still be in favor with God (even in regards to these specific scriptures), we can still call ourselves Christians, even while being in a committed and loving same-sex relationship. And we are doing our best to exist in and embrace these two worlds, two spaces that society has placed in opposition for too long. They can exist together. We hope to be proof. I am so excited to find more gay christians every day!

The Gay Debate: The Bible and Homosexuality

This video is them most informative video on the issue of gays and the bible that I have ever seen.

Although it is an hour long it is worth watching 100% 

This video has opened my eyes to the fact that gays can be Christians without being hypocritical. I personally am an agnostic, but I completely understand what it is like to feel conflicted with your religion because of your sexual orientation.

I am bisexual and I used to be a Christian. I lost my faith for many reasons, perhaps that will be another post...

That aside, I still know many homosexuals that have kept the faith and that are struggling with it. This video is for them.

This video is also for everyone who believes that they can hate homosexuals in the name of Christianity just because the bible tells them so. After watching this video my eyes have been opened to the fact that that isn't really true. The speaker in this video, Mathew Vines, puts all the verses in the bible that address homosexuality into perspective when it comes to the time and culture when it was originally written. He also talks about some of the original Greek/Hebrew words that were mistranslated throughout the many versions of the bible. This wonderful and insightful speech gives a new understanding of homosexuality and Christianity. 

This video also only has around 400,000 views, which is surprisingly and depressingly low for a video that speaks so clearly on such a controversial issue.
