When A Beautiful Mind came out, I asked my dad if he'd seen it. Dad asked if it was about the math, and I explained that it was more about John's mental condition, that the math was almost peripheral. Dad's response was that he'd met John and was really more interested in the math. I think the story I appreciated reading the most today was the one that explained that, as John got older, the schizophrenia backed off and he was able to return to his work (and his family). His death is bringing up some extra grief for Dad's passing today. Feeling pretty raw.
