Mathoor Aqueduct or Mathoor Hanging Trough (Thotti Palam), which is 60 km from Kanyakumari, is built over the Pahrali river to carry water for irrigation from an elevated level of one hill to another. It has 28 pillars & the max. height of the pillars is 115 ft. With a length of 378 m, it is the tallest & the longest hanging bridge in Asia.
