High School Sourhearts?

These two met in high school. 

They were friends who joked and laughed. They were sweet and nice to each other but got angry and annoyed with each other. 

But I’d see them day in and out after school sitting side-by-side at the lunch table talking. 

(Looks like they had a low negativity threshold ;)
