THE STORY THAT STARTED IT ALL: BOINGA-BOINGA-BOINGA
Hello every reader in internet world…as well as my friends in real life that were really curious about which story I am in the mood to tell. I think I am going to settle with feeding this blog site some delicious stories once or twice (three times tops, even I have my limits) a week depending on what I have going on at the time.
But enough about the boring stuff. I decided to start the story-telling part of my blog with the story that started my dream to make people laugh at some of my awesome stories.
It all started one day in my woods class my freshman year. If I remember right, it was during the later fall, just to add a little background to the situation.
I was trying to finish up a worksheet for my teacher when one of the boys in my grade ran into the classroom with a piece of fiberglass in his hand. “Dude! If I knew we had this stuff I would have used this as one of the walls of my bird house,” he yelled at us.
Our shop teacher looked at him and questioned him, “And why would you want to do that Brett?”
With a big smile on his face, Brett said, “So I can peak in and see what they are doing at all times!” And yes, Brett can be a little bit of a dumb blond at times.
“God Brett! You are such a pervert!” our teacher flat out said. That comment resulted in most of us dying with laughter on its own.
“How am I perverted?” Brett asked, not knowing what he said.
“Because if you do that, you will see the birds mating,” our teacher explained.
“Well I have never seen birds mate before.”
“What?! Haven’t you seen chickens mate before?”
“Um…I live in town. I don’t get to see stuff like that. I always thought the hen laid the eye and then the male would come and insert his sperm into the egg like a fish!”
(This is the moment when the face-palm is clearly needed, so feel free).
“Um, why don’t you just ask Derek about how they do it. He has plenty of chickens.”
Now in all honesty, Derek is a little slow and a huge country kid. So with a serious look on this kid’s face, he turned to Brett and said, “Oh yeah, yeah. First the rooster takes hold of the hen by her neck and then he goes and…and…BOING-A-BOING-A-BOINGA.”
And that ladies and gentlemen, was how Brett learned how baby chicks (as well as other birds) come into this world. And the BOINGA-BOINGA-BOINGA joke came to be and it’s one of my favorite stories to tell.
