I find myself growing more comfortable, colorful and queer with time, and it’s never felt better to be me.
I'm 23 years old, I don’t want children, and every elder who discovers this feels compelled to tell me how wrong I am about my own feelings.
Today, I'd like to have a conversation with you about how we treat the feelings and opinions of people when we know they're subject to change.
Even if we truly believe those we talking to may feel different tomorrow, in 6 months or even 10 years, it's important that we treat their feelings with respect (as long as they don't transgress upon our basic human rights.)
As an example to lead this discussion, I'm talking about being someone in my early twenties who doesn't want kids for a litany of very personal reasons.
Let me know what you think. If you're someone younger, how does it feel when people who seem more experienced than you invalidate your opinions because of your age?
If you're someone older, how does it feel when someone younger is making what you believe to be a "rash decision?"

Hi, friends. I’m not dead.
Hey, everybody. I’ve been locked out of my old account, @mattjosephdiaz, for several weeks because that whole “it’s time to change your password” thing left me stuck having to log into an email address I haven’t used since 2010.
So, at least until I can figure it out, I’m going to be sharing photos and stuff here.
I’m having a wonderful time out in Minnesota, though it’s definitely not Brooklyn. I’m having a hard time adjusting.
Yesterday was a month since I’ve got here, and holy shit what a month it’s been.
If you followed my old account (don’t unfollow it, I’m still gonna try and get it back) and you know people who’ve followed me, PLEASE reblog this so people know I didn’t quit internetting and follow me here, as well.
I’m going to be rebuilding my theme and sharing this link on social media over the next few days so people know it’s actually me and not some sort of elaborate Fight Club-esque scheme.
LITERAL ACTUAL SCREAMING IN REAL LIFE TODAY IS SO GOOD THIS IS WHAT THE GODS WERE PREPARING ME FOR I AM SO HAPPY mattjosephdiaz like and subsequently congratulated me on my scores which is cool cause I’ve been following him for a few years now and im probably overexcited about that but
Waking Up Is Hard To Do.
Mohawk game getting long.
Matt gets drunk and poorly sings karoke.
Fun Fact: I actually wear glasses! My vision is fine but I work with computers all day, and I thought I lost these months ago but lo and behold! Tbh I can't figure out if I'm going for "wannabe punk" or "hipster school teacher" anymore.
