The U.S. Wheelchair Curling team, with Wausau’s Matt Thums at the helm, climbed back into contention by knocking off previously unbeaten Sweden 7-1 this morning at the Paralympics in Cortina, Italy.
These two - Matt Thums and Ella Wendling - have a global presence.

Behind to Finland in the World B Championships last October, they were fighting to qualify for the World Finals.
