Elder Brother’s Dreamy and Reflective Sophomore Album
Elder Brother is back with a refined sound and a memorable full length. The duo, comprised of Dan Rose and Kevin Geyer, will release Stay Inside, on May 18. The earnest songwriting shows how the band have ventured outside of their comfort zone and challenged themselves. “You & Me Forever” is an upbeat track about newfound love. The song stands out because it is very poppy and starkly contrasts the slower songs on first Heavy Head. “Weak Days” is a melancholic song about longing for an unsustainable relationship. The slow winding song is dreamy and relaxing, displaying the softer side of Elder Brother’s sound. Overall, Stay Inside is the perfect spring record. The album was three years in the making and it was well worth the wait.
As of this morning (March 11), Canada, China and Sweden occupied the top three spots in the competition and were pretty much assured of a place in the medal rounds. The U.S. team has games remaining against Norway and Canada.
Ella Wendling's event will be held Feb. 24 through March 3; Matt Thums' begins March 6.
Dan Rose – To the Bitter End (Indie Folk)
🕑 2 min | Text: Adrian Release Date: 3. Oktober 2025 When I listen to the music of the talented Danish singer-songwriter Dan Rose, it feels much more like experiencing a truly versatile artist live in a small, cozy setting. I love the expressive storytelling and the unmistakable narrative presence that resonates throughout the room with a certain warmth and awakens something familiar in me. How could I not write about a new release that found its inspiration in my absolute favorite city? The four tracks on his new EP 'To the Bitter End' revolve around green ideas, a hopeful outlook on the climate debate, and observations of urban life in New York. With meaningful lyrics and a precise, expressive voice at the forefront, Dan Rose stands out in the folk scene and captivates with catchy melodies. Moreover, the recordings convey a certain lo-fi and DIY feel, lending the EP a sense of authenticity. With plenty of dynamics in the guitar playing, the artist quickly grabs the attention of listeners. The songwriting is thought-provoking and reflective, while the woody sound gives me classic road trip and campfire vibes.
