She had heard of people being together for decades upon decades. Her parents even being one of those couples. Her parents, or at least one half of the duo was part of the reason why she was so nervous to begin with. Ever since the facebook app had been uploaded to her mom’s phone it seemed like her mom used the app to hunt for a suitable suitor for her daughter. At least this one didn’t seem like a complete let down. Being led by the hostess to her table she smiled brightly walking to the table. “Hi,” she began. He seemed to be even more handsome in person, leaving her a bit flustered. “I’m Marissa.” If she hadn’t been a pro at meeting online dates, the introduction would have been far more awkward. She held her hand out for him to shake. “I hope you’re Matt otherwise I just introduced myself to a total stranger and should probably look for another table.” She chuckled a bit calming herself as only a flutter of butterflies remained. “Not that that would have been the first time.” Taking a seat she moved her hair a bit out of her eye. “Then again maybe I shouldn’t be talking about some of the embarrassing things I’ve done for our first conversation.”
