Another thripsicade.  How many can you count on these Tilia americana (basswood) flowers?  Basswood (like perhaps all Tilia/Lindens) are producers of buckets of honey and because they are trees, these are big buckets.  No specialist bees, but a lot of the spring bee fauna is drinking at this font.  Photo and specimen by Helen Lowe Metzman.
