Lotion - Greenskeepers
Once that matter was resolved it was like nothing had happened. Those two fought and somehow recovered faster than my parents.
“So you talk to Aunt Cara about that girl?” Luca asked as he plopped down on the sofa.
“Oh.. no… sorry man.. “ Fin sighed, “I forgot.”
“What girl?” I perked up, while some young people had moved back to Evergreen in recent times to help revitalize it, most of them were former residents. It wasn’t like this town was attracting a lot of young single women.
“Name’s Sancha, heard of her?” Luca asked with some bit of curiosity to his tone, “Great legs, long dark hair, fucking perfect...”
I felt the jab of my cousin’s elbow nudge lightly into my side, as we shared a quick knowing glance, “Yeah… we’ve run into each other a couple times.”
“Great, maybe you can convince Grace to invite her.” Luca took a hit as he spoke, “Fuck knows she won’t do shit for me.”
“What the fuck dude?!” Luca shouted, clearly holding back the full weight of his annoyance as he walked into the room, “Get your fucking feet off my table!”
“Chill man. It’s made of fucking concrete.” My brother replied defensively. Admittedly while I didn’t care for Luca, it was his house and it’s not like our mom didn’t tell Fin not to do that shit all the time.
“Doesn’t mean I want your unwashed boots on my shit.” Luca shot back, this time with more fury.
“Fine, they’re down, ya happy?” Fin resigned with a heavy sigh.
“Yeah, fuck though, I know you know better. You fucking dick.”
“Heh... you can think what you fucking want but I don’t regret shit. Clearly she was fucking around for a while... isn’t that right Estra? You told me, you told me when we got married I needed to watch out for that asshole.”
“Don’t bring her into this please. She’s only here because I’m taking her to DSV after this.”
“Come on Ollie, let her talk, we’re all fucking friends here aren’t we?”
“Listen I have to go do this shit with my own family in a few hours so if I can just stay out of this round...”
“Oh whatever Estra, you said on the way here they were acting like assholes and let’s be fucking clear ya both are. No need to sugar coat shit. This whole situation is a fucking trash fire.”
“Hey can you get that Wyatt?”
“Yeah, yeah already fuckin’ on it dude, just gimme a minute to actually get to the damn do- oh shit...”
“Who is it?”
“Umm.. looks like an intervention.”
“A fucking what?!”
“Would ya just tell fucking Fin his family is here?”
