This is something I've been working on since early October, trying to compile as much of my headcanons regarding my version of "Kirby's species" as I can into one post. Some I have shared before, others I never mentioned here at all.

*Squints at adult Fluff's adult wings* I-Is that a heart/soul hybrid matterborn wing style?

Oh, Prince Fluff is a regular Heart Matterborn! Well, as regular as can be with those eyes of his. The pattern is a bit non-standard, but there are far more unusual shapes out there. ~

When I read the first half of the message I thought someone had figured out that I used the colors of Yin-Yarn's eyes for Fluff's wings somehow

Did you intend to make Heart Matterhorn rare and Dark Matterborn depressingly common, or was that an accident?

About a third of all Matterborn are made from Dark Matter, only a fraction of which is of the positively charged variant. They spread like wildfire under the right conditions. Heart Matterborn are fairly common as well, actually, but aren't created nearly as quickly as their Dark Matter cousins. Soul Matterborn are actually the rarest, since they're extremely difficult to create, however they are also fairly hard to kill so the population remains stable.
