Events/Happenings are so worth going to and much more electric than the art gallery circuit - its taking art to where people are and not expecting people to come to the overworked and dry art spaces ..
The winner in an art battle is art and the people who get to be part of the event. Opening a door into the world of creativity, that everyone can walk into - not just a window to look at. Like a stage invasion at the end of a parliament/funkadelic gig people everywhere getting off on the vib and getting down with paint..
Manchester is a great place for this sort of energetic event. with out rough inventive northern ways and our joy of life. the people who attended where engaged in the whole performance and fo competitive fun - i will definitely go to more of these and encourage more of these art event/happening to go on
The form of the night allows people to see painting live and to get involved talking and shouting out or just voting for the ones they liked - we can talk about whats going on and meet other artists and art collectors - I even played some records and danced... it was very exciting - i don’t want to spoil the ending for you - you watch and think which painting you would have voted for for me its the taking part that matters .. I felt that everyone was a winner and i loved the painting that did win but then i loved so much of the night and the art being done.
