Okay. Not much new art, but more story-related stuff for this post.

I want to try and dive into how Doey and Gabby's relationship is after the events of Chapter 4 because there's... Potential. For some good ol' angst.

Kissy is missing from this post but I'd like to develop stuff with her too, ESPECIALLY her non-verbal communication aspect. I think it'd be really interesting if both her and Gabby learned ASL together so that they could both understand each other better.

Gave Ava a sort of more fleshed out design. Then later realized I basically gave her one of my siblings personality and I think that's hilarious. And of course I'm gonna keep it that way.

Since Gabby is a self-insert per say, I've gotta make it work with the OG plot of the story since he's too young to be an ex-employee of the factory :'))) (he's also French like I am... Which could result in some funny moments imo lmao) (I also REALLY need to change his name because I don't want him to be named like me so I've gotta work on that too)

So first question! Can doey actually taste anything?

Gonna take this ask as an opportunity to answer all of these all at once :00 @tallahatchet @sadowmaster (sorry for the tag sjshsjh-)

Yes, Doey CAN taste things. Though I'd assume after years of consuming just uh... meat... That tasting must be kind of dull for him. So when he has the chance to eat anything other than that, it's a whole new world opening up to him. Taste buds explosion kind of situation, you know?

Besides, Matthew knew of the food outside of Playcare (whatever it was that they served there), and Jack lived with it, so the adaptation time of tasting "new" things doesn't take Doey long... But Kevin??? My poor boy's only ever known the food in the orphanage. I think he'd be very emotional about their discoveries.

As for favorite foods, Doey's would be the three boys favorites. Which are as follows for Matthew, Jack and Kevin (in order):

Do you think it's quieter lately? I think it's quieter. The neighbor's dog is occasionally finding its voice, but only occasionally and only in faraway bursts. I can hear some birds, chirps spiraling down through yellow leaves and cracks of blue where the sky is bleeding through. The street is mumbling, hushed hot cement. And we are laughing but not laughing, not loud, not so you can see the teeth shining in the back of my mouth.
