Anica, I'm honestly just really annoyed. I was really looking forward to Matt's takeover because we hard,y had any Matt action recently on social media, and "the thing" happened. It's gonna put a whole dark vibe over the rest of the takeover, and I'm just *sigh* smh...

I KNOW, Gracie!!! We pretty much are starved here and Matt is always delivering some goods or at least some spoilers we can’t decipher lol but now he is apparently gone into hiding and I can’t blame him? This was supposed to be his day---and even if this whole takeover is solely for pr and all, Matt doesn’t deserve this. He looked so good and happy and awwww. He really seemed to look forward to it and really enjoyed the chat; at least the first part. After that incident, you could really see how uncomfortable he was.

Besides, he probably could have shown us some Malec stuff? Alec’s arc? Fight scenes? Or maybe getting into detail of the parabatri scenes? Stuff about the Lightwoods? Maryse/Luke? Have I mentioned Malec??? Just teasing us and all....

And now this mess and it’s all been talked about. Rightfully tho, don’t get me wrong. Because you can’t brush this away but wow, way to ruin a day the fandom was looking forward to, you garbage person!

i got on instagram like 30 minutes ago and i had no idea what was going on. like what dom called matt live wether what exactly this whole “fuss” was about. but then i saw the new post on shadowhunters official account and hands down i thought this was some kind of prank or ironic joke. that dom was mean to matt during the takeover or whatever and he was jokingly/fake apologising. idk why but i just thought if the video was real he wouldn’t look as fake-sad as he did, you know? dom looked A LOT like he was joking. but now that i know what it’s actually about i’m disappointed at how insincere his “apology” seemed. i’m straight but i know that this word is extremely offensive even if it’s “only” used in a joking manner. and even though i’m not directly “effected” i still find it ridiculously unprofessional and fucking offensive for an actor of a LGBQ-related tv show to say such a disrespectful and homophobic word and not even being able to sincerely be sorry about it.i’m not blaming matt (hell to the no, my precious baby did nothing wrong, chill out) neither am i blaming or demanding that the show makers kill jace or recast jace this is bullshit. i love this show and i know dom might not be optional for this show now because of his behaviour but i don’t want this show to end because of a stupid mistake he did. he apologised and everybody makes mistakes which does NOT excuse his behaviour but i think i can forgive him. mostly because i do not believe dom is homophobic but just isn’t careful enough with his use of language. i believe he never said it in a hurtful way but that still doesn’t make it unspoken.
