Sometimes when I miss Matt, I need to see a picture of him in our @kcrw basement with a hard hat during the fund drive. Nobody fund-drived (drove?) like Matt. I learned it from him. Our next fund drive is coming soon. And it’s inconceivable to me that we will be doing it without him. And not just because he knew how to do it well, but because he brought to it humanity and love. And he taught us about that. Lord knows we will not get it as right as he did, but we will try. (And you can’t imagine how terrified I was pitching with the master on All Things Considered?)
