So today's been interesting
Characters: Matthew “Matt” Ryan Meese and Mallory Ruthanne Everton
Media: Studio C (2012-2019)
Setting: various
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Studio C’s most popular pairing by far, Matt Meese and Mallory Everton have more chemistry than Dr. Friedrich Scheider’s laboratory, even though their status as a real-life couple is debatable. Appearing as a couple in dozens of sketches (”Naturally,” “The Doorstep,” “Mirror of Erised,” etc.) and as hundreds of other zany characters, Matt and Mallory have an easy offstage relationship that carries through to their characters in a mesmerizing way. Dubbed “Mattory” by their fans, Matt and Mallory may not be a real couple, but their many, many unforgettable characters have more energy than Kyle himself.
in light of studio c’s new “ship tango” video here’s your daily reminder that shipping real people is disrespectful and creepy (even if they’re “ok with it”) and we should all just let “mattory” die already. everything they say in the new video is scripted and you have no way of knowing if they mean anything they say or not, so just shut up.
Mattory = Almaia
You can't convince me otherwise

am i the only one who finds the whole mattory thing, like, weird? like, how’d it even come about? who decides two actors should be in a relationship just because they’ve played a couple on stage and kissed on stage a few times? they’re actors. that’s what they do. if you go by that logic on shipping, then way more people should ship stephen and whitney- they’ve kissed just as much, of not more, and they’re actually married. to be clear, i don’t actually advise anyone to ship them, nor do i ship them myself- i don’t like shipping real people anyway- but it’s weird that no one else ships them. and correct me if i’m wrong, but i don’t think we’ve ever heard matt and mallory’s genuine, honest opinions on mattory- they pretend to like it in sketches, but those are scripted fanservice. even if they are okay with it, that doesn’t mean you should go so far as to act disappointed in the comments section when a sketch features them with other people, or try to connect every little interaction of theirs to it, or just ship them openly at all. if you think they’d look good together, fine, but keep it to yourself. don’t try to force them into supporting it. idk, the fact that literally none of their jk studios sketches feature them as a couple and that none of their jk studios videos even acknowledge the ship (to my knowledge at least) just makes me think they’d rather forget about it.
Okay, every time that I play soccer, I keep getting hit by the ball. Somehow, it always hits me, and I’m not even in the goal when this happens.
But it I have realized something very important, and I now know why I keep getting hit by the ball.
