BUY: http://po.st/BeachyHeadEP www.facebook.com/LouisMattrs Brighton born and raised, Louis M^ttrs is very much a product of his environment, his surroundings and those physical attributes that makeup his hometown influencing the narrative he threads through his tracks. Louis first came to light in March this year with a mixtape surfacing on Youtube which caught the attention of label owners Chase & Status. Together they collaborated on the top 10 single âLost & Not Foundâ, selling more than 150,000 copies and propelling Louis into the living rooms of the masses and onto the stages of Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and a number of European festivals. In-fact his first gig ever was Radio 1 Big Weekend, a slightly back to front approach for any new artist but one that has set his aspirations appropriately. Following this Louis dropped âWar With Heavenâ - the first offering from his debut âBeachy Headâ EP. âWar With Heavenâ was premiered as Zane Loweâs âNext Hypeâ on Radio 1 in mid September and was accompanied by a breath-taking video/short film which Louis collaborated on with multi-award winning photographer and video director Josh Cole ('Best New Director' Cannes Film Festival). The second offering from Louis âBeachy Headâ EP is âKilling Me Differentlyâ, produced by fellow Brighton resident Felix Joseph and featuring hometown neighbour Elli Ingram on backing vocals. âKilling Me Differentlyâ is a slice of smoked-out future R&B/soul and was premiered by MistaJam as his âInbox freshâ record on Radio 1Xtra. Other tracks on the EP include âGodâs Helpâ which was a result of a late night studio session with Paul Epworth & Dom Search plus a beautiful remix of âWar With Heavenâ by Catching Flies.
