Maude x Masc wife
Description: It was Christmas Eve and Maude didn't think her wife would make it in time. Despite the pleasant surprise, everything comes to a halt when an unexpected person makes an appearance.

December 24
It was Christmas Eve and I was missing it. Unfortunately due to my job I had to go off for a few days. Maude had told the kids prior to me leaving just as a heads up.
The distance was hard, we barely could talk due to the board meetings and much of the stay was very vacant. Most of everyone was off at their houses and the city was cold.
After a late workday I went to get some fast food. When I got the order, a call had finally come in. When I looked I noticed it was Maude.
“Hello Darling.” I say curtly with a small smile despite her not being able to see it.
“Hello honey, what are you doing?” Maude asked curiously, her tone more excited than I had anticipated.
“I'm getting food, they had me overtime.” I sigh as I walk down the streets of Boston. I finally reach the hotel and head towards the elevator.
“I'm sorry honey I wish you had a better Christmas eve.” Maude sighs, her tone more disappointed than before.
“It's not your fault my love, how are the kids?” It was ironic I was still calling them kids knowing that they were all grown and have their own lives.
It didn't help that I had watched them grow up when Maudes husband had been long gone.
“Eli and Emma were arguing over something. I was showing Cleo a few things, she's very smart, you'd love her.” Maude goes off about the experiences she had.
It would be a lie if I said that I wasn't getting fomo.
“That sounds nice, I can't wait to meet Cleo.” I tell her softly playing with the key card. The elevator arrives on the floor and I just walk out.
“Did you just get the food?” The older woman asked, hearing the background noise.
“Yes, I got Chinese. I'm so happy it was right around the corner.” I sigh, reaching the room and opening it diligently.
“Sounds nice..” Maude's voice wasn't as excited as before. The sudden low pitch has alerted a few alarms in my head.
“What's the matter of love?.” I ask her softly while opening the Chinese food and digging in.
“Nothing, Kitty misses you.” Miranda starts, but an admission like that never stays half true. “I miss you.”
There it was a sudden hint of vulnerability that Maude only shared when she was alone.
“I miss you too Maude, I'm trying to get this over with so I can see you all.” I say softly looking at the time and touching the phone as if I could reach out to her.
“It's not your fault. How long do you have?” Maude asked me curiously of her tone as hopeful.
“Two days I might miss Christmas.” I lied to Maude. It was evil to ever deceit her, but I wanted my arrival to be a surprise.
In reality, I had a flight first thing in the morning. If everything goes as planned I'd be there before everyone is up.
“Oh, well I'll have your gift ready for when you come.” Maude says optimistically despite the news.
“Me too.” I say softly while eating the food.
“Well it's getting rather late so I'll let you sleep. Goodnight night Agetha.” Maude says getting ready to call, it wasn't a long chat but enough to ease our worries.
“Goodnight my love.” I say softly before hearing the call hang. I just place the phone down and finish my food.

The plane had landed approximately around five sharp. When I arrived at the little town it was half an hour after. I was unsure of how to enter the house, I had left my key when I went off to work and I didn't want to call Maude since she was asleep.
Right when I was about to knock, an older man opened the door. He seemed to be the same age as Emma.
“Who are you?” The man asked, a bit concerned to see someone on the other side.
“Agetha, Maude's wife. You must be Toby?” I say extending my hand out for him to shake.
“Ah Emma has said a few things about you.” Toby said quickly handshaking me.
“All good I hope.” I say optimistic before taking a step inside.
“I promise it is.” He said with a big smile watching me step foot.
“I'll leave you be, thank you once again.” I say shooting a grateful smile and walking down the hallway.
Toby nods his head and leaves the house for whatever purpose.
I make my way slowly into the room and gently place my bags inside the closet. Luckily Maude was too deep into sleep to notice. Quietly I set a few things up and changed into a set of pajamas that were in my wardrobe.
Then I slowly make my way into bed. By now Maude was slowly moving in bed but she wasn't awake.
It wasn't until I had scooted closer to her and wrapped my arm around her waist that I started to feel some movement. At first it was subtle, Maude leaned into the touch like anything else.
But the more that she had sinked in, the quicker her body stilled. She then shot up from her bed with a look of fear.
I froze not expecting her to get so alerted this time in the morning. Instead I stayed in a laying position and had my hands up for her to see.
The moment Maude's eyes landed on me, her scared look changed to that of a confused reaction.
“Agetha..?” She couldn't even believe herself. She then leaned closer as if it would change the fact I was there.
“Maude?” I say back teasingly while watching her with a small smile. Maude's shocked look soon faded and she just stared at me briefly.
“Christmas came early.” Was what Maude said before cupping my cheeks and pulling me into a kiss.
I quickly melted right into the kiss, holding her side and reciprocating it just as intensely.
After a few seconds the kiss started to get more sloppy from the lack of air. I tried my best to keep our lips in tact but it started to become unbearable. I pull from the kiss panting.
Only for Miranda to start kissing my lips and jaw, her hands then went on my shoulders and went to straddle me. I couldn't help but let out a gasp and lean my head to the side granting her more access. My hands rest on her waist pulling her closer to me.
“I've only been gone for three days.” I say in a hoarse tone trying my best to not moan at the feel of her lips.
“I don't care.” Maude says against my kiss before applying more pressure causing me to let out a moan.
“The house is full.” I excuse myself while my hands go under her night gown and touch her thighs. The touch makes her legs flinch ever so slightly and a gasp escapes her lips.
“Then we'll be quiet.” Maude responds just as quickly, leaning in to peck my lips.
“What if someone walks in?” I added another excuse for kissing her back. Despite everything I threw at her I made no effort to follow through with it.
“You always lock the door.” Maude dismisses just as quick before silencing me with a kiss.
There was nothing else I could add because it was true. And so I returned the kiss just as softly.
My hand slowly touched the hem of her underwear, my fingers curled at the hem but I didn't move forward.
“I've missed you.” Maude admits her hands holding onto me and her eyes staring at mine softly.
“I've missed you too, my love.” I say just as softly looking at her eyes quietly.
Just when I was about to initiate anything with Maude, a knock was heard on the door. The two of us instantly stopped everything we were about to do. Maude and I stayed quiet for a few minutes before ignoring it and resuming back to our activities.
Only for the knock to come in again. We both just stared at one another curiously.
“Grandma are you asleep?” The sound of a little girl called from the other side. It was Cleo.
“Shit.” Maude cursed under her breath before getting off of me.
“Don't worry, when they leave.” I reassure her by kissing her cheek and getting out of bed.
Maude did the same making her way towards the door and unlocking it. That's when I was met with a small girl that had short hair.
It was cute, because the only people in this house apart from her that had short hair was me.
“H- is that my other grandma?” Never did I feel so old by the name. Yet I couldn't help but get a sense of warmth at her recognition.
“Shh you can't tell anyone until they get up.” Maude says in a whisper before taking her into the room and closing the door behind her.
“Hii.” The little girl jumped into bed and hugged me.
“Hello Cleo.” I smile looking at the little girl. Then came Maude who sat right beside me.
“How do you know my name?” The little girl asked me now, shocked at the revelation.
“I have my ways.” I tell her before glancing over at Maude who was too engrossed in our conversation.
“I want to open the presents.” Cleo said with a small pout.
“Not yet, we have to wait for the rest.” I say laying back against the bed.
“Are you tired?” Cleo asked me curiously, noticing my movements. Maude also turned to face me curiously.
“I think she is.” Maude adds with a soft smile before putting her hand on my head. It was a sweet gesture.
I couldn't help but melt into her touch, leaning in and letting her play with my hair.
“I'll rest my eyes for only ten minutes.” I tell Cleo with a small smile and closing my eyes.
“Okay.” Cleo says laying right beside me quietly.
Maude on the other hand leaned into me and her arm wrapped around the back of my neck still touching my hair.
It was a little domino effect. While Maude had her arm looped around the back of my neck. I had my arm looped around Cleo holding her just as gently as Maude was holding me.

“Wake up!! Everyone is up.” The sound of Cleo's voice is as loud as an alarm.
Both Maude and I shake into consciousness. Maude quickly sits up and u do the same.
“We’ll be there.” Maude and I say in unison not grasping how in sync we both were.
Cleo just stared at both of us fascinated at what just happened.
“Don't tell anyone Agetha came.” Maude quickly adds knowing how quick the girl was to say anything.
“Okay I'll see you two.” Cleo says with a small smile before running out of the room. I just chuckle at her antics.
I then lay my head on Maude's lap still trying to fully wake up.
“It'll be quick.” Maude reassures me still playing with my short hair.
“I know, I'm happy to see them but I look crazy.” I explained to her that my eyes were still closed.
“You should've seen Eli when he came in, had the most hideous thing on.” Maude says, still in shock.
I just laugh at her comment and slowly sit up.
“Thats Eli. Are you ready?” I ask her quickly to fix her long messy bed hair.
“Yeah.” She confirms with a soft smile letting me play with her hair. Once I finished I gave her a peck and we both got out of bed.
I put on my slippers and waited for Miranda to do the same. When Maude was fully ready the two of us started making our way across the hall and to the main living room.
Luckily everyone was too busy talking amongst themselves to even spot us yet.
“Grandma's!” Celo exclaims happily while looking at us.
“She had just seen us.” I whisper to Maude who just gave me a glare.
“Stop it.” Maude says, hitting my shoulder and still standing close to me.
“Grandma's?” Emma says confused before turning her head and noticing both of us standing there.
“Agetha!” Kitty was the first to call me out before running up to me and hugging me.
“Kitty!” I smile hugging her back just as tightly.
“Agatha I forgot my mom is gay.” Eli added running up and hugging me like a little kid.
“Funny.” Maude says not letting his comment go unnoticed.
“Three gay people in this house.” Emma adds before moving past Eli and giving me a side hug.
Toby just stayed at the couch and waited for everyone to settle back in. Meanwhile Cleo ran to us again and hugged both of us.
“Let's get to the gifts.” I announce ready to see what they all got.
“Good thinking.”

It wasn't very long until everyone had finished unwrapping the presents. Luckily everyone was happy with their gifts.
Cleo got a set of magic wands and cards, something that Maude had gotten her.
Kitty got a new makeup pallet and a few earrings that I had bought. Emma had bought Eli a few sets of jewelry. In exchange Eli got her some tickets to a movie.
In the end, Maude bought me a new bag for when I'm off traveling for business trips. In exchange I got her a new purse that she had been telling me about for the past month and a ticket to a dance show she liked.
It's safe to say that everyone enjoyed their gifts and were more than satisfied.
After that, Emma and Toby had gone in the yard with Cleo. Kitty and Eli stayed in the living room watching a few movies on the tv.
Maude on the other hand was in the front yard planting a few flowers and trimming the bushes. In the meantime I was cooking for the house.
After finishing the mean meal I put the stove on low temperature to keep the food warm. I then walked towards Eli and Kitty peeking my head to the side of the couch.
“If you two are hungry there's food ready you just need to serve yourself.” I announce to them with a small smile.
“Thank you Agetha.” Both Eli and Kitty both got up quickly making their way to the kitchen like little kids.
“I'll go tell Emma.” Kitty says before walking to the back yard.
“I'll tell Maude.” I add before walking to the front door and opening it.
That was when I spotted a man in the front of the yard, it was odd since we never got visitors, let alone a man approaching us.
What made it even more odd was that he was standing on our lawn. It was unclear as if Maude knew the man but he seems to be a bit distressed.
I quietly stepped outside and closed the door behind me hoping to not intrude.
“You still love me.” The man said his voice was smug and out of touch.
“I haven't loved you for nearly two decades.” She says her voice as calm as always while picking a few things up.
The man stayed quiet and watched her every moment. When Maude had turned around to grab a few things that the lawn had. He went and grabbed a gnome decoration I had bought.
He then started walking towards Maude quietly almost as if he was planning to do something. Whatever it was I got a huge pit in my stomach.
Before I could even fully process it I was already running down the stairs and towards the man. Just when he was about to swing I quickly managed to tackle the man down on the floor.
It caused both of us to instantly fall on the floor. Right when Maude noticed what just happened the man was trying to fight me off.
But it wasn't enough I just held him down before putting him in a headlock.
“Agetha get off!” A panicked voice came out of Maude and she couldn't help but exclaim in shock.
Due to the commotion everyone from the back yard ran to the front.
“Not until he drops that gnome.” I respond by holding him down just as tightly.
Eventually he let go of the object and tapped on my arm. I quickly let go of him and dragged him out of the front lawn.
“What happened?” Eli panicked at what he was witnessing. But Maude chose to bite her tongue.
I turned to look over at Maude who just stood still. Her hands started to shake. Everything that her kids would ask her something she wouldn't respond to.
She was having a flashback.
I quickly made my way towards her and placed a hand on the small of her back before leading her into the house once more.

“Who was that?” Emma asked. Everyone was now in the room while Maude was in the living room by herself.
“Your guy's father.” I say quietly trying to make sense of it all.
They all went quiet, none of them knew what to do or say at the revelation.
“You guys cannot utter a word about this. I called the cops and he won't come by.” I quickly warn them before leaving the room and going to the living room.
I spotted her quietly mumbling something to herself and just sitting there. I quietly scooted closer to her and gently placed a hand on her arm testing the waters. Maude flinched for a second but then noticed who I was.
“He was supposed to be gone.” Her voice quivers before wrapping her arm around my waist and pulling me into an embrace.
“It's okay I called the cops.” I reassured her gently playing with her hair as a comforting motion.
“I'm with you, no one will hurt you.” I added kissing her head and slowly rocking.
“It's okay mom he won't come by.” Emma says joining us and hugging her as well.
Everyone eventually joined in and held her quietly. Which was the best thing we all had done since it made Maude ease up.
“Thank you guys.” Maude says kissing me and kissing her kids on the cheek.
“Anything for you.” I say softly looking at her.
“Of course mom.” They all added with a big smile.
It wasn't perfect but it was ours.

As for any other ones that are on the master list I will be giving them more one shots so do not worry.
