All this racial B.S. about a Disney’s ethnic Ariel the Mermaid. The choice is perfect and the actress is gorgeous AND mermaids are NOT exclusive to Caucasians. In the Philippines we have stories of “Serena” the Mermaid as with countless stories of other international mermaids from around the world. I was the very FIRST emcee for the very first Mermaid Convention back in 2011 and had been the official “Maui Merman” since 2000. Merfolk are all ethnicities and those that are are all upset with Disney’s decision to cast a gorgeous black Ariel as their Mermaid are truly pathetic, uneducated and definite racists!
