Heroic Invincible Universes: Omni-Mark Universe

So, I made this post in the past where I discussed ideas I'd had for universes where Mark WASN'T a villain and I thought it'd be fun to expand on these worlds and what they're like a bit.

In this universe, when Mark was only seven years old, Mark and his mother got caught in the crossfire of a battle between Omni-Man and one of his more dangerous villains. Desperate to save his family, Omni-Man sacrificed his life in order to keep them safe.

As he layed dying, his wife and song gathered around him, begging him not to leave, saying how much they loved him, but he apologized to THEM. Told them how he he never realized how much he loved them, how they didn't REALLY know them, how sorry he was.

And then, Mark said he'd do good. He'd grow up to be a hero, just like him. But Omni-Man said something Mark would never forget.

"No. No, don't.....don't be like me Mark.....Be....Be better.....Be better than I.....was....."

And Omni-Man died there.

Mark and Debbie mourned and buried him, doing their best to move on. Things would stay mostly calm for seven years....until the day Mark was fourteen and started floating.

Ecstatic that he had his powers, Mark immediately wanted to go out and start being a heroe, but Debbie was...hesitant. after a LONG chat with The Immortal, Director of the GDA, Mark, now going by the name Omni-Man after his father and even wearing the same suit, was assigned to being on the Teen Team to help him train.

Mark would spend the next three years of his life working with the Teen Team and fighting other crime on the side. Remembering what his dad had said, Mark tried hard to be like him. Acting jovial, making quips, having funny moments with both teammates and people he saved. He worked to, as his father said, "be better".

And then.....she came.

It was a day like any other, Mark having just saved a runaway bus of tourists and making a joke about how "this was why you should always wear seatbelts". When, out of the sky, a woman slowly floated down to meet him.

She explained that she was Anissa, another Viltrumite, there to perform inspection on the planet after their last agent had died. She told him about how Viltrumites were conquerors and now, with Nolan gone, the mission og conquering the Earth was his.

At first, Mark called her a liar, said his dad was a hero, DIED being a hero. But, using a large display on a building, she played video for all to see of Omni-Man talking about his mission, Earth's defenses, how he was working to observe and protect the world for the Viltrumite empire.

Mark is stunned but refuses to allow Anissa to take his world. Anissa then engages in a violent battle with him, causing untold amounts of destruction as she tries threatening him into submission. But, with the help of his friends on the Teen Team, Mark is able to subdue Anissa and imprisoned her in a special prison cell filled with gel spheres that absorb any kinetic impact, created by Eve and Robot.

Having learned the truth about his father, Mark at first feels lost, broken, unsure what to do, what to think. But, after looking at old photos of his family, he decides....to go back out. In his Omni-Man suit.

Because if everything his father had done had been a lie? If "Omni-Man" had never been real?

Then he'd be that real hero. BE the person his father had pretended to be. He would be the Omni-Man the world needed.

Other fun facts about this universe:

After years of working together on the Teen Team and bonding abojt family issues, Mark and Duplikate started dating. They try to keep their relationship professional and not let it effect their relationship. They also tried keeping it a secret....until Rex walked in on Mark and a group of Dupli-Kate's in the Team showers.

Immortal kept the secrets of Atom Eve's origin from her for years, fearing how she'd react. Especially since some of the other "siblings" of hers may have survived the process. After learning this, Eve left Teen Team and went out scoring the world to find any signs of her "siblings."

Mark has a "brother" in the sense that he has a clone. The Mauler Triplets stole a sample of Mark's DNA and used it with a stolen GDA control collar to create a clone of Mark under their command and with no memories or personality in order to destroy Omni-Man and the Teen Team. One even made the clone a suit and called him "Infaman". (Something the other two triplets called idiotic and said was clear evidence he was the clone.) After a long, hard fought battle, the Teen Team and Omni-Man got the triplets to help entrap the clone and hook him up to the machine that transferred the memories of Mark into the clone. While their was immense angst with this clone, Mark and Debbie accepted him as a member of the family, giving him the name "Nolan" after their father. He's still debating on whether to become a hero or not.

Dude what’s up with all these clans full of nothing but kids? Do Maulers just realize that their kids can’t hold up their heads and thus can’t fight and just say ‘fuck it’ and leave them??? What the hell guys??? I mean the Uru clan, Antandra’s clan and Rhys’ clan are both full of kids so what the hell is up with that?

Also did everyone just give up keeping the secret by SOS?? Because we just straight up told a child that I was Merlin so that’s kind of weird.
