Thinking about Despair!Vaggi and Snip!Vaggie talking to Canon!Vaggi about her keeping her secret for years with her Charlie

Despair!Vaggi: “I mean my Charlie found out pretty much instantly, she brought in the best doctors from Sloth to look at me after she took me and they figured out the angel part pretty quick and told her.”

Snip!Vaggie: “That makes sense. My Charlie didn’t find me right off the street so it took a few months for the secret to come out, but it was inevitable. I told her because it was important for her to understand while freeing me from Velvette but I can’t imagine it remaining secret for much longer anyway.”

Canon!Vaggi: “….”

To be fair, only one of those Vaggi's actually told Charlie. Despair!Vaggi most DEFINITELY wouldn't have wanted one of Hell's rulers to know her secret.

Nothing will remind you that there hasn't been a popular new IP released in almost three decades quite like talking to four year olds. It's completely absurd and ridiculous that in the year 2026 the most popular pieces of media in my preschool classroom are still Pokemon, Sonic, Toy Story, and Lilo & Stitch. That shit was all popular when I was in preschool. Most of those IP's came out before I was even born.

Like for the love of god let me feel culturally alienated from children 20 years younger than me. I dream of the day my students start rambling about a tv show and I have no fucking clue what they're talking about.

I noticed a big prevalence in Kpop Demon Hunters stuff when I started subbing for Elementary Schools. Even saw on Halloween like three or four little girls dressed as Rumi.

"Well, it isn't exactly a BRAND, but my Aunt Bee has this special style of hot chocolate she makes for me when my depression gets...well, BAD. Its really nice with some spices and chilis found in Gluttony and Wrath and it warms you up inside so well. She said it's similar to how its made in a place on Earth called "Mexico".

What’s the day to day at the Sin of Despair theatre? Are all the shows ones Charlie has worked on herself or does she let other sinners express themselves on stage? Who else that we know from the show is an employee? Are there sinner employees or just guests and hellborn employees? Husk and Niffty in little theatre usher uniforms, Niffty with her dust pan and broom and Husk at the concession stand popped into my mind and it’s very cute imo

To answer this one by one....

1. The theatre is split into the parts of it that are an actual theatre and the parts set aside for sinners to work pn bettering themselves. So the day to day in the different parts is rehearsing for performances and plays and doing lessons for sinners to help them integrate into Hell society. Stuff like lessons on teaching them certain things for jobs, learning Hell's history and social lessons, and just stuff like groups where they talk about their Despair and pain to help deal with it.

2. I imagine her shows are equal parts her own creations and plays that already exist. If she likes a sinners play enough, i think she'd be happy to perform it.

3. I actually DO imagine Alastor would come to work their himself as part of whatever plan he and Rosie have in Canon. While Charlie can tell he isn't really interested in what she does, she lets him help out because she wants to understand him better. Get an idea of the person behind the mask of the smiling Radio Demon, even if Alastor makes that difficult. I could also see her trying to recruit some sinners who serve under Overlords and some, like Melissa and Ethan joining up. Something that REALLY pisses off the Vees.

4. There are sinner employees. Sinners who go through Charlie's "process" dont necessarily always end up working for her but a some DO end up working for her, if not at the theatre, then at one kf her businesses in the Ring. As a sidenote, I don't think her service for sinners get THAT many takers. She gets more then the hotel then in Canon, but still doesnt have sinners beating down her door to join and its not something a lot are interested in (because most don't want to hear how much they suck or have to confront their pain).

5. On Husk, I could see Alastor just bringing the two along for shits and giggles or to offer them to Charlie as Employees. Though, Husk woulf probably not be a fan of the place. Charlie has a pretty strict "no alcohol inside" policy. Still he's happier he isn't a guest and can drink OUTSIDE the theatre as her protocol for alcaholics and drug addicts is to have them sweat it out.

Not gonna lie, I look at a poster like this, and shake my head at DC/Fortnight for how they tried to compete with this:

This outfit is what I now imagine Charlie first started wearing when she started out as the sin of Despair.

The inspiration came from a few places. The cloak is one i already had featured in a previous piece. For the outfit, it's based on both a Yugioh card outfit

and this outfit here:

See, while talking about Charlie with @aspoonofsugar I noted how this seemed to be Charlie's default outfit, wearing it in both these pictures ane the statue with her parents. And the Yufioh outfit felt like a natural evolution of this look.

Since Charlie's still a young Sin, she doesn't wear much of her own iconography, instead using her dad's (with the wings, the snakes, the stars) and those snakes around her wrists (as well as the ones you can't see on her throat and legs) are where her chains will one day be and have similar properties.

Not gonna lie, i was TORN on whether this should be her look for her past when she was starting out or her future (because this is a GOOD look for her) but ultimately, I think it fits her past self more.

I feel like when CANADA is on fire and the results causes states underneath it to have poor air quality due to the smoke and ash spreading over to our air, THAT'S A SIGN WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT!

Id...argue that's more due to the natural properties of smoke and Ash and our closeness to Canada....though what the hell caught fire up there that apparently it reaches THAT far
