Happy birthday, Maureen O'Brien! Maureen, who played first Doctor companion Vicki Pallister is 75 today. FYI: This was originally a color (colour if you prefer) image that I mucked about with via Photoshop.

#tbt #maureenobrien #doctorwho Maureen O'Brien played Vicki, one of the original Doctor Who companions during the William Hartnell era. When she turned up to the Marvel UK offices for a Doctor Who magazine interview in 1986, I took the opportunity to ask if I could photograph her in a makeshift studio in the Marvel Boardroom. Obligingly she said yes and here's my favourite from the 24 shots that I took. Maureen acted alongside William Hartnell in 1965. #throwbackthursday
