Mudroom makeover is just about complete! It is so nice to finally have a functional space for our needs. We pulled up our old linoleum tile and put in a durable porcelain tile that we scored from Southeastern Salvage for only $3 a box. It was our first time DIY installing tiles and I would call it a success! The old trim in this mudroom did not match the rest of this house’s 1984 charm. We pulled it out and created custom 10” baseboards to match the rest of the home. I chose mauve for the wall color to modernize the space and make it feel inviting. The color also hides any marks from dirty shoes or sloppy dogs as this is our everyday functional mudroom. The white cabinets are from IKEA and painted white. The nice thing about these is that they were easy to customize to fit our needs. The cabinet acts as our food pantry and the shelves provide storage for the dogs items, outdoor decor, and hats and scarves.
