location. ⁺ the ranch.
time that stretched into darkness hadn't been too rough on clover. truth was — she'd slept most of the time until the burning sun urged her to wake. a broken slumber was the beginning of a horrible nightmare when the box television began to static. a noise she deeply buried from her childhood. in memory — she'd always ran out of the room covering her ears thinking someone would crawl out of the grey lines. the sun brought a sense of cruelty to her phone displaying a call from her sister. through an overwhelming fit of emotions — clover couldn't rest her mind. she'd been walking all morning. the soles of her feet began to pulse. doc martens weren't a suitable shoe for pacing emotions.
there had been no direction set in mind — clover had walked to the ranch three times already this morning. her mind dragged elsewhere — longing for clarity to break her upsetting scene — to be free of this place. in the whirlwind — anger was tangled in the urge to cry, topped with a small amount of hope. "hey!" the first break in her steps. the sunlight forced the young woman to squint. "you're a ...meaty guy.." conversations with clover had never started anything out of strange-weird girl aesthetic. "my request is that you just don't snap me like a twig," seemed fair. though she was failing to connect the verbal dots. a part of her tilting on awkwardness to confront what she needed. what she could possibly have in the moment.. "just like.. i don't know... could you give me a hug — and not be weird about it?"
