Queen Mavia was a Christian.
I’ve talked about the Arab Queen Mavia( Arabic: ماوية, Māwiyya) on my Blog before.

She’s quite interesting to me, here is her Wikipedia.

I’ve noticed when looking for people talking about her on Tumblr there is a repeated claim that she probably wasn’t a Christian but a Pagan. They all seem to go back to the same source which is just some random cheap looking website saying that Historians dispute her Conversion story.
There is NO dispute among Historian about her being a Christian, the conversions story is only disputed when suggesting was possibly raised a Christian from birth, and that the conversion story simply made a better story.
She is a much more interesting and unique historical figure to me as a Christian, Pre-Islamic Arabia already had Pagan Ruling Queens, Kedar had like 5 straight during the Assyrian period.
But that Christianity already produced a Queen within a century of being even tolerated by the governments of antiquity is evidence that at least some early Christians took Paul’s statement about Gender not mattering in Galatians 3 seriously.
