Games Have Now Been Ruined: Official
Ruin Jam 2014 is now over, which means that video games have now been completely and utterly ruined. Forever. The heinous bitch behind the gamerpocalypse is one Caelyn Sandel, a lady who pushes me down the charts to being merely the second most awesome Caelyn ruining games today.
I'm sure you're all aware of the recent events which inspired the jam. I'm not going to speak about them in detail because, for now, I'm trying to make this blog a place of positivity. Getting off one's arse and being creative is probably the biggest middle finger it's possible to give to haters (to use the vernacular) and it's lovely to see so many people being moved to make stuff.
Contributors to the jam have produced eighty one games "celebrating the nonexistent demise of video games" and it is my intention to play them all and report back on any that I particularly enjoy. I've already had a giggle at Macro Transaction Force Go! by Max Battcher which lampoons a whole bunch of industry trends and makes me wish there were more games where I could play as a hermaphrodite Seductrix Social Justice Warrior. Go forth and dance in the ruins, my friends! We shall gather and talk of our conquests later.
