No response. They’re poring through it mutely now, thoroughly engrossed.
Some have made a significant link between the runes that make up this moniker and those that are tied in the onset of the ᚾᛖᚡᚣᚱ ᛫ ᚳᚢᛞ previously predicted by Keenash (Chapter III). Though the exact nature of ᚣᛗᛁᛚᛃᚣ’s involvement is not known, the repeated pattern seems to be deeply integrated into the heart of that prediction, deeply enough that it cannot be ignored by future Runecasters. A connection between ᚣᛗᛁᛚᛃᚣ and M. Chambers, the man said to ‘usher in a new era of mystery’ (Chapter VII), has also been found, but the ties in this regard are not as strong. More investigations are pending in the Runecasting community: as ignored by the surface-walkers as we are, our ghosts can at least be warned.

☺ Max Chambers?
Oooooh boy, I can tell you a jillion and one things about Max Chambers!
Max is kind of odd when it comes to dealing with exes. He doesn’t resent anyone for breaking up with him, no matter how much it hurts at the time, and he won’t allow anyone to talk smack about them (not even Dub), because there must have been some positive quality to them for him to fall in the first place… and yet he rarely takes any of the reasons that people break up with him into account. He doesn’t always consider that he is the one who needs to change rather than everybody else, and even when he does, it rarely sticks. Dub, being biased in Max’s favour, was a pretty bad enabler of this.
This lack of ill will even extends towards Charlie, to a way lesser extent. Murder of eleven people can’t be forgiven, but now that Charlie’s dead himself, any hatred of him will only hurt Max in the long run. Annie doesn’t agree with him on that score, but that’s okay, conflict is healthy in a relationship, right? (?!)
His first girlfriend was Kelly, a Newcrester with a penchant for collecting aquatic creatures, including turtles. She had REALLY pink hair, and that kind of started his inclination towards people with dyed hair, and Banillas by extension.
He’d have happily accepted Berries if I had let them into the MMBC; it’s just that since this was the first ever and I didn’t know how anyone would react to it, I wanted to start vanilla and basic, you know?
On the cusp between child and teen, he had two pet goldfish called Rowan and Atkinson.
His relationship with Annie is the farthest he’s ever gotten with a person, and he’s so proud of himself…! He’s just still sad about what it took to get her.
Of all of the dead, naturally, it’s Dub he misses the most.
Obviously, Chambers takes place in a kind of AU from what would transpire in ‘human canon’, where Max and Dub go to, say, Windenberg, and Max goes home without him for… reasons. In that scenario, I think he would have eventually thought about using a BC without Dub’s help, but would have entered one rather than hosted one. So really, sticking closer to Die Anstalt canon probably saved a lot of lives. Wrap your head around that one.
As it is, he’s watched fewer and fewer BCs lately, since the MMBC swarm started. It’s a pity, cus he used to be such a big fan of them. Due to fact #2, he’s trying to pick them back up again, but it’s hard. Especially since the bullet in his shoulder still hurts.
He does the required physical therapy every time it comes up. He can’t be a hands-on father with a non-working arm. Hint hint. ;)
