Bullet’s Phone 3x01 You too, B Part 1 of 7
Powers 2.10
Enjoyable, if anticlimactic, final episode.
The key thing here is they have set Patrick up as unstoppable. And they’ve successfully shown how terrifying that can be. Of course, at the same time, the show has to find a way to actually stop him in the end.
And they do. And it’s quite simple. So simple that one is inclined to go: “Really? That’s it?”
It basically works. I mean they had established that the guy was deranged. So, in the final scene, Walker is able to turn his skewed view of the world against him. You could argue that it had been foreshadowed. But, at the same time, it’s a reach to think that he would do something as stupid as deliberately killing himself (in a murder-suicide thing) to destroy his biggest enemy.
Other than the dubious ending, this is a strong episode showcasing the entire cast very well. Particularly the team of four superheroes that has being formed. Likeable and interesting, all.
The series ends on multiple cliffhangers, which is a shame. I would have loved to see more of these characters.
