In KUSI’s GAME of the WEEK, the Pirates (1-1) topped the Saints (0-2) Friday night at San Diego Mesa College 17-14! Dayne Morrison, RB Max Mullen, QB Oceanside’s Dayne Morrison had rushing and receiving touchdowns.   Pirates quarterback Max Mullen was 15 of 22 for 176 yards and a touchdown. Donald Vivian  broke up a pass on the final play of the game.  WAY TO GO PIRATES!

Co-founder of @instacart Max Mullen knew he wanted to launch a startup, even if he wasn't fully enthusiastic about the idea. In 2010, he introduced a social networking tool called Volly. The business failed within a year. “I didn't have a passion for it,” the 29-year-old admits. “Passion drives a sense of urgency and tenacity; without it, when you reach a stumbling block, you give up. It made me realize that if I'm not passionate about something, it's not worth doing. I'm passionate about Instacart, and that has driven its success.”
