“All the objects, constructions, large scale sets, and in some cases the installations, are built with the goal of documentation as the final step.  Most of what I create is temporary in nature; octopus has a bizarrely awful smell after a few hours. Things fall apart and sculptures crumble.  The constructive purpose of the camera records and finalizes the intention of the work. The thing is now a new thing, the photograph of the thing is now another thing.”
