-Some stuff I like right now: My DVDs!!! Tekkonkinkreet, Castle in the Sky, Nausicaä, Stephen King!! Big fan of It and The Shining, Where the wild things are,, home of my namesake the ferocious Max. Lynda Barry, Lemony Snicket (fav kids author that I’ve recently returned to,, it’s all so bleak in a way I really enjoy), Moomins, Charles Forsman’s comics, Jeffery Lewis’ music and comics, Elephant 6, especially The Unicorns, Neutral Milk Hotel and Orbiting Human Circus/The Music Tapes, though I DO NOT support Julian Koster. Dandadan, The Long Long Holiday, Blue Eye Samurai, Your Name. Anything with a compelling narrative/art style n bonus points for nostalgia:)

-Current general inspirations: Robots, clay, local landscape, street art and graffiti, knights, space, pocket dimensions in every day places, oneiric (dreamlike) states, Elephant 6 always, music w/ singing saw, pareidolia(seeing faces n figures where there aren’t any), streets at night, windows, the view from the train, mail art, mice, churches, rocks and seashells, (shadow) puppets, angels, life drawing in public, naturally occurring patterns, music, folk stories n human belief/religion (though I am not religious exactly), surfing the web on my laptop, my projects!!!! I love stories.

-My potential active fandoms: Deltarune and Undertale, Danganronpa, It (2017+2019), TMA and similar podcasts maybee, Stardew Valley, Homestuck. See also my interests list^^

That means a lot ty!!! I do, It’s one of my favourite Ghibli movies n it’s been a big source of inspiration for me. The architecture and the robots r so cool; the landscape was inspired by Welsh mining towns and I live in an area that’s geographically very similar so the visuals really resonate with me. I love the ambience and the richness of Ghibli movies generally too😸😸 it makes me happy to see love for the lesser talked about (imo) Ghibli movies.

Jeffery Lewis is coming back to Cornwall‼️‼️ I am so stoked I haven’t seen him since is was like 16😸😸
