Yes. It doesn't matter who you ship - that goes for fellow Ghoulcy's too - or whether you don't ship, or whether you're a hardcore game fan or just a fan of the TV show.

I've been shown comments/messages from people who I know are Ghoulcy fans that are being cruel & unkind about other ships and I'm fucking sick of it - everyone has a right to enjoy the ship they want to enjoy. Canon ships, canon characters and/or OC characters. That and of the fake Ghoulcy's stirring up trouble too.

It's really disappointing.

From my multi shipper perspective, the fallout series fandom is eating some good fucking food. So many options!

We don't have much of Max x Lucy, but they're very cute, and I love their friendship. I can't wait for them to reunite and to feel reassured that despite the harshness of the Wasteland and how they've changed since their separation, that they still see the good in each other, that they feel reassured that there is still hope in the world. I just wish we saw more of their dynamic together, rather than how they parallel each other.

Max x Dane is cute too, especially since we see them together in s2. Dane is the only reasonable person in the brotherhood, is the only one who understands Max and the only one who knows that the Wasteland changed him but he wants to keep doing good anyway. Max is allowed to be himself, is allowed to be soft and do the right thing with Dane. Like, that hug!! I love that they actually have a close friendship and trust each other. I hope we get to develop them more, and that Dane survives to reunite and possibly join the group on their travels.

Lucy x Cooper is interesting too. I don't like the usual booktok type enemies to lovers even though it's my favorite trope when done right. And here, you can actually SEE that they're enemies to narrative foils to reluctant travel partners to friends. The angst potential is HUGE, especially after 2x05. I love love love that they're the "I can make her worse/I can make him better" trope. They're inexplicably changing each other which is such a compelling dynamic. Lucy has Cooper as her guide through the Wasteland (whether he's dragging her alone or they're walking side by side,) and she's becoming more street smart, more acclimated to the lawlessness of the land. But despite what he and the world are putting her through, she's sticking to her morals as much as she can. She's changing but she's also proving him wrong, that there can still be good in this horrible Shithole world. And now that he has her by his side, hes finally having this human connection that he hasn't had in over 200 years. She's proving him wrong over and over, that she'll have his back even when he's being horrible, and that's changing him too, back to his human self. Especially what Walton Goggins said about 2x05, that Lucy is the first time the Ghoul had this human connection, he was finally able to touch without malice (pulling her through the fence, saving her from the Caesar's legions, gently touching her back when she was sick), he was hurt by his own decision in 2x05, which is such a 180 from season 1!! Besides their growing friendship(?)/partnership, they have the most parallels, what with the family betrayal, "oh, I'm you sweetheart, just give it some time", stitched on fingers (hello??), "I can make him better/I can make her worse" narrative foils, and the newest one: "That is a very small drop in a very, very large bucket of drugs," in 2x05. I'm sure there's more that I can't think of that the entire fandom's been obsessing over for years, lol! That's why they're the more compelling dynamic, and we also see them around each other the most. Betrayal and angst is the perfect ingredient to true enemies-to-companions-to-friends-to-idiots-to-overs. Media these days rush the enemies to lovers with insta love and it's like??? No?? That's not TRUE enemies to lovers. They have to see the worst of each other to truly appreciate the humanity that is buried deep, deep, deep, deep, deep under their shell. If they can forgive each other for being Gulper bait and bargaining chips, then I think the relationship will come back ten times stronger. That's TRUE enemies to-reluctant travel partners-to friends-(to lovers?) baby!!

Robert House is obsessed with Cooper so I'm open to some toxic one-sided yaoi. Walton Goggins and Justin Theroux kissed at the Webby Awards so good for them, good for them.

I don't know much about Cooper & Max as a dynamic, but I'm very very excited to see the duo or trio with Lucy work together!!! Also, Lucy has two hands.

Lesson Learned

Dane carefully polishes the chest plate of the T-60, minding the joints where mech meets air and rotating gears allow arms to raise. They find themselves just staring at the piece, wondering when Maximus will return from his… whatever with Lucy and that sleazy ghoul.

They had never felt so eager to move on, to return to their post. Any normal squire would have said good riddance, funnily enough. Some may have used the opportunity to try on the suit, see how the strength of the steel grip felt in their normally soft and squishy human hand. But Dane, unfortunately, did not feel the draw. Did not wish for more, where more promised power and inner societal adoration. 

All they could think about was Max… and how jealous they were that those freaks got to have his full attention.
