Sketched the cast of Precocious cosplaying as Deltarune characters! Drawings and ramblings under the cut.
(I like to think that in-universe the copper road kids were doing a group cosplay for a convention or something and everyone else got in on it cause dressing up is fun.)
Quincy is Berdly cause he's a gamer. Kaitlyn is Susie cause she's her favorite character.
Ursula is Kris cause she thought their design looked cool. She hasn't played Deltarune, but she wanted to dress up with her friends anyway! Plus, her parents said she could only do this if it was educational, so she took up blacksmithing and handmade her armor and weapons. Which is a kinda insane thing to do, especially for someone who's ten (10) years old. But this is also the kid who once made actual dynamite from scratch and strapped it to her own body for the sake of a costume so I think it makes sense for her. (she's actually more like ralsei, kind and sweet but with no real sense of self. pretty sheltered in some ways. only started learning to be a person recently. picked up a ton of hobbies and skills, not because they were interested in them, but because they felt like they had to. transgender swag. but she doesn't know that cause she hasn't played deltarune.)
Vincent is Ralsei cause he's a fluffy boy.
Yvette is Spamton Neo cause all the puppet imagery fits with her whole thing about dolls and the outfit matches her electic fashion sense. She actually wanted to go as Kris, her real favorite character (they're both weird quiet kids), but Ursula picked them first and Yvette didn't want to be seen as copying her. In the end, she had more fun putting the Spamton costume together, but she's still holding a grudge about it.
Dionne is Queen because she's a cool villain. She's actually more intentionally evil then Queen is, but the vibes match pretty well. Roddy is Rouxls Kaard and Max is Swatch cause they haven't played Deltarune and Dionne forced them to be her loyal minions. Roddy also is Rouxls cause people tend to be like "oh this guy again" whenever they show up, and Dionne is playing a joke at his expense.
Also, no, Max can not see very well out of that mask. Character-wise, Jockington is a better fit for him anyway.
Suzette is Susie cause they're both rude girls who are good at violence (and their names even start with the same sound!). She hasn't played Deltarune either, but she learned about Susie second-hand and thinks she's the coolest.
Bud is Lancer cause he's a fun bad guy! (plus his dad could pull off a spade king costume really well.) Jacob is Ruddin cause they're henchpeople. Autumn is Noelle cause she'd look really good in her lightworld outfit, and I thought it would be funny to have the Fall character as the Winter one. Tiffany is Jevil cause chaos is like her whole thing. (there's even official art already of tiff in a jester outfit, it's a perfect match!)
Ms. Monster is The Roaring Knight cause she wanted to be the scariest antagonist as an intimidation tactic. (she has played deltarune but she wouldn't admit to it.)
