St. Lainer's Hospital by @1-wonder-1

chell was admitted to the hospital for asbestosis and mild radiation poisoning, as well as exposure to various other toxic substances. (turns out running around giant asbestos spheres is bad for your health! who knew?) she also has undiagnosed autism and ptsd. her lung issues are a constant source of frustration and she often pushes herself too far.

chell isn't too concerned about things in the early stages. sure, it's creepy, but she's more focused on trying to escape than her cast mates interpersonal issues. she never liked jax anyway.

she's the most resistant when gangle starts trying to take over the rest of the circus. chell isn't able to stop her, but she never gives up fighting.

chell is experiencing some serious deja vu right now. she does really well at the tests but that's pretty cold comfort. this whole situation reminds her of everything she hated about aperture. but hey, if abel really isn't sapient, then the old paradox trick just might work.

i drew her with a portal gun cause i was imagining that she'd use conjuring to recreate it, but actually i think that's beyond her skill level.

thank you so much for asking! it goes Badly :)

panic & escape attempts are fairly common for new circus members, but chell is unusually persistent in that regard. she does Not want to be here. she's so god damn frustrated that one small mistake cost her freedom (and she's not happy about the weird cartoon body either). most of her early days were spent tearing through the circus grounds in the desperate hope of finding a way out, of breaking through the seams of this false little world. eventually, she managed to clip through the floor...

and wound up in the cellar.

she was fortunately unharmed, but it's a hell of a way to learn about abstraction! after that she calmed down a little and got to know her fellow cast members, though things were still rough for a while.

here's a bonus sketch with bubble. she doesn't like him either.
