Early last week witnesses say a young man in dark clothing and wearing a computer-like backpack with antenna on it, with dark goggles like a mad scientist, entered the establishment. By their accounts all was normal in the restaurant until the young man went to empty his trash.

Shortly after, cockroaches the size of small dogs erupted from the trash. Some first hand accounts say that the young man used some form of spray on the trash. As chaos ensued inside the restaurant the young man made his exit. Representatives of the Avengers, already present in the establishment, made short work of the buggy menace and then proceeded to capture the young man.

No names were released but one bystander said he could hear the boy clearly shouting his name, Baron Maximillian von Frankenstein, as he was being taken into SHIELD custody, obviously wanted for questioning for crimes yet unknown to this reporter.

Follow-up Editorial Report:
The Daily Bugle has recently heard a rumour that the young man wasn't merely taken into SHIELD custody, but that they were considering utilising his brilliance for the good of the United Nations. Evidently this hasn't panned out, as we now believe that the young man is being passed around various vigilante academies to try to settle him and see his future turned around for the better of all concerned. Please let us know if you have evidence indicating which institute he's at. -Ed.

Centre for Disease, Controlled!
In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, the last thing the CDC needed was a break-in by villains. Viper of Hydra, Azazel of Brimstone, Margali of the Winding Way, and little Max 'Frankenstein' of Hellfire: all were united in common cause. And the cause was diabolical... biological warfare!

The night began with a nightmarish downpour... of human beings from the sky! They crashed upon the secretive installation, littering its grounds and rooftops with bloody, broken bodies. Lab staff and security personnel alike were murdered en mass by the demonic Azazel and his army of imps. And this was just the opening act of a horrific plan to plunder the CDC, as a swarm of armed Hydra lunatics were teleported to the scene, soon followed by some kind of long-range tactical battle-bot which we now believe was under the remote control of Max Frankenstein!

SHIELD were very quick to respond, deploying an advanced drop-ship of its specially trained and gifted assets to reconnoitre and make way for the cavalry of standard superhuman clean-up crew.

Other more colourful heroes showed up, including Toymaster of JGS, Tantrum of FF, Bloodkat, Vanish and a lion-themed vigilante. They wasted no time at all in coming to blows with the devoted cultists of Hydra. What is worth noting here is that a whole platoon of notoriously disposable goons seemed to be entrusted to Azazel, while Madame Hydra herself infiltrate deeper into the installation along with the Battle-bot, hounded by Agents of SHIELD hot on their heels!

Deep within the sub-basement levels of the quarantine island facility, the heavily armed destructive battle-bot and the single-minded Madame Hydra sought out the CDC's clean-room vaults ~ where some of the deadliest viruses known to man are securely stored for study and medical breakthroughs.

Their nefarious efforts were halted at every step, however, by Assets of SHIELD and the Avenger Academy student Jake. They hunted the villains to the vaults, where an army of genetically engineered Super-spiders joined the fray against our brave men and women in uniform.

Above ground, Margali unleashed a magical storm of fury against our heroes, while Azazel coordinated the Red Bamfs to attempt capturing or crippling the heroes, before joining the fray himself - seemingly taking great pleasure in every wound whether suffered or inflicted.

All of it was just a vile smoke-screen, however, for fleeing Hydra agents carrying Bio-hazardous materials which constitute WMDs in their own right, in the wrong hands. But Spider-Man's famous sixth sense alerted our heroes to the danger, and not a single one of them escaped with deadly viruses. In fact Azazel brutally murdered one of the fleeing Hydra by beheading him with his swords - presumably the price of failure.

The shock and awe was mere misdirection still, buying time for the villains inside to download a mysterious genetic code that the facility was researching, before beating a hasty retreat in the wake of the battle-bot blowing itself up. The CDC refuse to comment for reasons of national security, but a reliable source informs us this code was part of some on-going research to sequence the many permutations of the mutant genome.
Could it be that while having successfully prevented some of the worst pathogens known to man falling into the wrong hands, the most dangerous threat as-yet unknown to man has been misappropriated?
